Entry fees for stakes races must now be paid directly to the Sires Stakes program. The Cal Expo paymaster will no longer be able to transfer funds from Owner, Breeder or Trainer accounts to cover entry fees for California Sires Stakes races.

The new policy regarding Entry Fees for all California Sires Stakes Races is as follows:

- Pay entry fee directly to California Sires Stakes (CSSSC Inc.) - Use cash, debit/credit card, or check.
 
- Debit/credit cards:  pay by phone, set up payment via e-mail, pay in person (in advance or day of entry)
 
- Pay by check via mail, must be received by Friday prior to entry (postmarks will not qualify).
 
    - Make check payable to CSSSC
        - Send to:  CSSSC    PO Box 254509    Sacramento CA   95865
 
    - Pay in advance on site
        - Sires Stakes Office, Room 80 - Cal Expo, during live racing the week before Stakes races
 
- Pay on day of entry @ Race Office

ENTRY FEES MUST BE RECEIVED BY CLOSE OF ENTRY - NO EXCEPTIONS
