Sacramento, CA ---
Scott Ehrlich, presently the announcer at Balmoral and
Maywood Parks in Chicago, has agreed to join Sacramento
Harness Association.
Sacramento Harness will begin operation of Cal-Expo Raceway
harness racing on September 23.
In addition to his duties as announcer, Ehrlich will serve
as director of publicity, co-host the nightly intertrack
television show, and the weekly television and radio shows.
"We are really excited that Scott is joining us," said Chris
Schick, general manager of Sacramento Harness. "In addition
to being one of the top harness announcers in the country,
Scott is truly a lover and student of our sport, and will be
a huge asset in the publicity department," said Schick.
Ehrlich has been the announcer in Chicago since 2001. "I
felt that accepting this position was a opportunity to grow
professionally, and in the overall best interest of my
family," Ehrlich said.
"I want to thank all the fine people, both management and
horsemen, in Chicago. It was not a easy decision to leave
one's hometown.”
Ehrlich will continue in his present position through the
night after Illinois Super Night at Balmoral Park, September
18, and then will head west for the Cal-Expo Raceway opener
on September 23.
